HOW TO IDENTIFY A DOOR- PART 3

HOW TO IDENTIFY A DOOR  -PART 3 Scripture: Revelation 3:8 Topic: Three ways to recognize a door. In this series of quiet time we will look at the third and last way on how to recognize an open door.  ...Behold, I have set before thee an open door... Revelation 3:8 3. The third way to recognize a door is to realize that God engineered the opportunity and that it had nothing to do with your efforts. In the natural, you do not often construct the doors you meet. Everyone just passes through the doors that are open. An open door is not of your own making, it is just something that you benefit from.  And when they were come and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how He  HAD OPENED THE DOOR of faith unto the Gentiles. Acts 14:27 When Paul and Barnabas gave the report of their first missionary journey, everyone was overjoyed at what the Lord had done. They came to one conclusion: God had opened a door to the Gentiles! They...

HOW TO IDENTIFY A DOOR- PART 2

HOW TO IDENTIFY A DOOR  -PART 2 Scripture: Revelation 3:8 Topic: Three ways to recognize a door. In this series of quiet time we will continue to look at how to recognize an open door.  ...Behold, I have set before thee an open door... Revelation 3:8 2. The second way to recognize a door is to discern that it is an opportunity that will not always be there. In the natural, a door does not have a fixed position. It is either open or closed. Any opportunity that appears for a season and disappears again must be considered as a door.  ...I will tarry at Ephesus...For A GREAT DOOR and effectual is OPENED... 1 Corinthians 16:8,9 Even though there was an opportunity for ministry at Ephesus, that opportunity would not be there for ever. Today, there is very little opportunity for ministry in Ephesus. The door is shut in many parts of Europe. However, the door is now open in many parts of Africa and the developing world. These doors will not remain open forever. Instability and w...

HOW TO IDENTIFY A DOOR- PART 1

HOW TO IDENTIFY A DOOR -PART 1 Scripture: Revelation 3:8 Topic: Three ways to recognize a door. In this series of quiet time we will look at a door and how to recognize an open door.  ...Behold, I have set before thee an open door... Revelation 3:8 An open door is a God-given opportunity in the midst of impossibilities. It is a chance to escape or achieve something for the Lord, an opening in the midst of impassable circumstances and a time-related breakthrough that gives you a needed option. There are three ways to recognize an open door. 1. The first way to recognize a door is to recognize an opportunity that comes in the midst of other unworkable options. In the natural, a door is flanked on the left and right by impenetrable walls. This reveals impossible or impenetrable circumstances all around except in the position where the door is.  ...I will tarry at Ephesus...For A GREAT DOOR and effectual is opened... 1 Corinthians 16 8,9 Paul decided to remain at Ephesus because ...

THE SECRET OF DIRECTED PATHS- PART 2

THE SECRET OF DIRECTED PATHS -PART 2 Scripture: Proverbs 3:5,6 Topic: God ignores you and speaks to your paths. In this series of quiet time we will continue to look at how God directs our path and the secrets of the directed paths.  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5,6 God will often lead you if you take the time to pray that His will be done in your life. Then you can walk on confidently. You may not even know what exactly to do, but as you keep on praying that His will be done, He will direct your paths. God will block certain doors and make it impossible for you to go on certain roads. He will ensure that you only flow in a particular direction. He will ensure that you only meet certain people. Nobody knows all the will of God. Even Jesus prayed that the will of God be done. Spend time praying that the will of God be done in your life. Every serious Chri...

THE SECRET OF DIRECTED PATHS- PART 1

THE SECRET OF DIRECTED PATHS -PART 1 Scripture: Proverbs 3:5,6 Topic: God leads us through directed paths. In this series of quiet time we will look at how God directs our path and the secrets of the directed paths.  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5,6 The promise of God in this scripture is not that God will direct you! God is promising here that He will direct your paths. What is the difference between God directing you and God directing your paths? When God directs you, He speaks to you and tells you what to do. It is then up to you to do the right thing and obey His voice. However, when God directs your paths, you don't have to do anything. Its your paths that have to obey instructions.  He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done. Mathew 26:42...

THE LIMITATIONS OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S CALL PART- 3

THE LIMITATIONS OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S CALL -PART 3 Scripture: Ephesians 4:7 Topic: You must recognize the limitations of people you look up to without despising them. In this series of quiet time we continue to look at the limitations of an individual's calling. Only Christ has the fullness of the calling.   But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ Isaiah 4:7 Inasmuch as you are to see that people are limited, you must not despise them for their limitations. It is important not to idolize anyone but it is also important to not to despise them. Most people despise and criticise men of God because they see the non-gifted, raw aspects of these men. Indeed, it is very easy to despise a man of God. In one field he looks invincible yet in another he seems to be an imbecile. Learn to recognize the grace of God. Seeing the weakness of someone who is called should make you appreciate the grace of God even more.  Stop regarding man , who...

THE LIMITATIONS OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S CALL -PART 2

THE LIMITATIONS OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S CALL  -PART 2 Scripture: Colossians 2:9 Topic: Only Christ has the fullness of the call. If you want to see the fullness of the call, you must look at Christ since only Christ has the ultimate calling. This is a very important truth for us to grasp. For IN HIM DWELLETH ALL THE FULNESS of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:9 You must make Christ your best example of a shepherd, a teacher, an evangelist and a prophet . Constantly looking at Christ will cause you to move much higher than you would have been. Unfortunately, many of us look at men we esteem as mentors and assume they are the best example of ministry. Even the most anointed men of God are only a measure of what they could be. Every one of us is only a fraction of what we could be if we had the full measure of the gift. It is Christ who had the Spirit without measure and therefore it is the fullest and best example of ministry. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the ...

THE LIMITATIONS OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S CALLING -PART 1

THE LIMITATIONS OF AN INDIVIDUAL'S CALL  -PART 1 Scripture: Ephesians 4: 7 Topic: We have only a "measure" of a call. Human beings long to create super-human characters who never make mistakes, never fail and never die. It is this inward desire in all men that has created characters like James Bond, Rambo, Superman, Demolition man, Batman and Spiderman etc.. But the fact that you are "called" will not turn you into any of these super-huma characters. Your calling is simply God showing mercy and leniency to you. Apart from this, your calling is limited. You have received only a measure of the Spirit. But unto everyone of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Ephesians 4:7 Your calling gives you only a measure of the Spirit and there are several other measures that you did not receive . This means that there are several other gifts that you lack. Your lack of other graces will always limit you in the ministry. Your lack of other gifts w...
