In this series of our Quiet Time, we will study in detail the meaning of the name of God; Jehovah Rophe.

 "…if thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: FOR I AM THE LORD THAT HEALETH THEE."
Exodus 15:26

What does “Rophe” mean? “Rophe” is a Hebrew word that means “to heal”, or “to repair”.

6. “Rophe” means “to cure.”

“To cure”, means “to make someone healthy again after an illness”, and “to make an illness go away”. It also means, “to deal with a problem successfully”, or “to stop somebody from behaving in a particular way, especially in a way that is bad”. God is in the process of making you healthy again. God is the one who has the power to make an illness go away and to deal with your problem successfully.
