SERVE IN THE PRESENCE OR OUT OF THE PRESENCE -PART 2

SERVE IN THE PRESENCE OR OUT OF THE PRESENCE  Scripture: Nehemiah 2:1-4 Topic: Serve in the Presence or out of the Presence -Part 2 In this quiet time series we will study the importance of serving God in His presence.  It's my prayer that this study will stir you up to seek to serve God in His presence. 2. Serving in the presence of the king has great advantages.   "And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I TOOK UP THE WINE, AND GAVE IT UNTO THE KING. Now I HAD NOT BEEN BEFORETIME SAD IN HIS PRESENCE. Wherefore the king said unto me, why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore afraid, And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers’ sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? Then THE KING SAID UNTO ME, FOR WHAT DOST T...

SERVE IN THE PRESENCE OR OUT OF THE PRESENCE -PART 1

SERVE IN THE PRESENCE OR OUT OF THE PRESENCE  Scripture: 2 Samuel 16:19 Topic: Serve in the Presence or out of the Presence -Part 1  In this series of our quiet time, we will study the importance of serving God in His presence.  It's my prayer that this study will stir you up to seek to serve God in His presence. "And again, whom should I serve? Should I not serve in the presence of his son? As I have served in thy father’s presence, so will I be in thy presence." 2 Samuel 16:19 1. You can serve God in His presence. You can also serve God outside His presence. These are two different experiences.  "And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? Why wentest thou not with thy friend? And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the Lord, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.  And again, whom should I serve? SHOULD I NOT SERVE IN THE PRESENCE OF HIS SON? AS I HAVE SERVED IN THY FATHER’S PRESENC...

HOW YOU CAN ENTER THE PRESENCE OF GOD WITH PRAISE

PRAISE Scripture: Psalm 100:4 Topic: How You Can Enter the Presence of God With Praise "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and INTO HIS COURTS WITH PRAISE: be thankful unto him, and BLESS HIS NAME." Psalms 100:4 The presence of God is brought about through praise.  Praise and worship is the secret that the modern church has learned.  In former times, there was not much praise and worship.  Many do not know that praise and worship, as we know it today, was not always practiced in church. Many churches were dry and stiff, singing hymns at particular moments in the service.   The power of praise and worship has been rediscovered, especially in its ability to bring down the presence of God. There are many promises about how God will answer prayers.  But there are not so many promises about how God will answer praises. Because of this, Christians did not know the power and effect of praises.  Today, praise is offered in churches instead of prayer....

HOW YOU CAN ENTER THE PRESENCE OF GOD WITH THANKSGIVING -PART 2

THANKSGIVING  Scripture: Romans 1:19-24 Topic: How You Can Enter the Presence of God With Thanksgiving Part 2 In this series of quiet time we will learn the importance of thanksgiving to God whenever you approach God. It is my prayer that after this you will begin to experience the tangible presence of God each time You approach Him. 2. The presence of God is lost by being unthankful. The opposite is also true. Being unthankful attracts evil spirits and drives away the presence of God.  When you are unthankful, you drive God away.  When you are unthankful, you drive away good people who love you and want to help you. No one wants to continue being nice to someone who is unthankful.  Ungrateful people are the most unattractive people. They repel good company and drive away the very people that they need.  The presence of God is dismissed by the attitude of unthankfulness.   "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed...

HOW YOU CAN ENTER THE PRESENCE OF GOD WITH TANKSGIVING -PART 1

THANKSGIVING Scripture: Psalm 100:4 Topic: How You Can Enter the Presence of God With Thanksgiving -Part 1 In this series of quiet time we will learn the importance of thanksgiving to God whenever you approach God. It is my prayer that after this you will begin to experience the tangible presence of God each time You approach Him. "Enter into his gates with THANKSGIVING, and into his courts with PRAISE: BE THANKFUL unto him, and BLESS his name." Psalm 100:4 1. The presence must be entered with thanksgiving.   You may approach God but you may not feel His presence.  You may spend a long time praying but you may not feel His presence. It is important to know what to do in order to have the presence of God manifested in your life.  The presence of God will be enjoyed by those who are thankful. Thanksgiving is a master key to enjoying the presence of God.  Saying “thank you” and being thankful are some of the most important spiritual virtues that you must develop if...

Seeds Part 12

SEEDS Scripture: Ephesians 6:8 Topic: Seeds Part 12 In this series of our quiet time, we shall examine the impact of seeds. Sowing seeds is a biblical principle no matter what is said against it. Everything in the world exists based on this same principle.  12. “Helping somebody” is a special seed that can be sown. "Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of  the Lord, whether he be bond or free." Ephesians 6:8 Without help you will not make it in life. You will need assistance, forgiveness,  mercy, a push, favour and, above all, undeserved help. Many do not sow this seed of help, because people who receive help from you do not look like they could ever return the favour shown them. But you must expect your harvest from God and not from the person you  helped. Do not look to the person you are helping as the source of your harvest. Five People Who Sowed a Special Seed by Helping Others 1. Rahab sowed a seed of ‘help’ by helpin...

A seed to your spiritual teacher is a special seed that fulfils righteousness.  Through this special seed you fulfil all righteousness and complete certain spiritual contracts. Because there is a clear and biblical instruction to  minister to your teacher, every time you do so, you fulfil the command to play your part in your teacher’s life, paying him back for his good works in your life. You fulfil your obligation as a good student and receive the blessings of Galatians 6:7.  "Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man  soweth, that shall he also reap." Galatians 6:6-7 Credit: Excerpt from He ...

SEEDS Scripture: Philippians 4:15-19 (NASB) Topic: Seeds -Part 10 In this series of our quiet time, we shall examine the impact of seeds. Sowing seeds is a biblical principle no matter what is said against it. Everything in the world exists based on this same principle.  10. A seed towards evangelism and missions is a special seed that will cause God to provide all your needs according to His riches.  A seed was sent to support the Apostle Paul in his mission. Paul pronounced the special blessing of Philippians 4:19 on them. This verse is commonly quoted by people who claim God will care for them. But the proclamation of Philippians 4:19 was the harvest of the seed sown into Paul’s evangelistic mission. Remember that your special seed towards evangelism will entitle you to a special harvest of abundant all-round provision. "You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving ...

A seed of money mixed with prayer is a special seed that gives a harvest of a spiritual visitation   Cornelius sowed a special combined seed of alms and prayer. This seed came up to God as a memorial. I didn’t write the Bible. The Bible says that the angel told Cornelius that his gifts and prayers had become a memorial in Heaven. This memorial reminded God about Cornelius on a daily basis. This is why the angel was sent to visit Cornelius. Your special seed of prayer and alms can provoke a spiritual visitation for your life. “There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the...

Sowing seeds makes people have more good things because the “seed nature” is embedded in spiritual virtues. For instance, sowing mercy and being merciful causes you to reap a harvest of mercy “Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellow servant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.”     ...
