Seeds Part 9

 SEEDS
Scripture: Acts 10:1-4
Topic: Seeds Part 9

In this series of our quiet time, we shall examine the impact of seeds. Sowing seeds is a biblical principle no matter what is said against it. Everything in the world exists based on this same principle.

9. A seed of money mixed with prayer is a special seed that gives a harvest of a spiritual visitation

Cornelius sowed a special combined seed of alms and prayer. This seed came up to God as a memorial. I didn’t write the Bible. The Bible says that the angel told Cornelius that his gifts and prayers had become a memorial in Heaven. This memorial reminded God about Cornelius on a daily basis. This is why the angel was sent to visit Cornelius. Your special seed of prayer and alms can provoke a spiritual visitation for your life.

“There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.”

                                                                                                                                                     Acts 10:1-4

There is the place for prayer, and then there is a place for offerings. A well-balanced believer understands the place of each. Whatever prayer does, giving does not do, in the same way that whatever giving does, prayer does not do. Today many unbelieving so-called Christians are constantly bastardising giving to God. Dear believer, God enjoins us to give!

  2. What a word! What prayer can do money cannot do. Combining both is a special seed that can invoke divine visitation. Lord give me a generous heart towards Your house to always give even as I pray

  3. There is a role that giving plays that is different from what prayers does. Individually, each brings its own harvest and combined it becomes a special seed that is a memorial before God that will always be remembered.
