THE POWER OF BEING THANKFUL - PART 15

Scripture : Psalm 6:5
Topic : Giving thanks is the reason for staying alive. 

"For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?"
                                                                                                                                            Psalm 6:5

Perhaps, the master key to your staying alive is your thanksgiving. I know that you think that it is the vitamins you have taken. You think that the doctors who have been looking after you are keeping you alive. 

However, a master key to staying alive is giving thanks! Why is this? The psalmist reminds God that if he were in the grave, he would not be able to give Him thanks. God will keep you alive so that you can keep giving thanks to Him. God will delay your funeral and delay your burial so that thanksgiving will abound to God. God does many things to allow thanksgiving to abound to Him. 

"For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God."
2 Corinthians 4:15

"For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;"
2 Corinthians 9:12

Scripture : Romans 1:21 Topic : Unthankfulness in a person is a door to many evils.  "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, NEITHER WERE THANKFUL; BUT BECAME VAIN IN THEIR IMAGINATIONS, AND THEIR FOOLISH HEART WAS DARKENED..."  Romans 1:21 The scripture above shows us clearly that many of the evils and perversions in this world came through unthankfulness.
