REDEEMING THE TIME
Scripture: Ephesians 5:15-16
Topic: Redeeming the Time
"See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, REDEEMING THE TIME, because the days are evil."
Ephesians 5:15-16
To redeem the time is to use your little opportunity on this earth as much as possible. Your time is a precious commodity given as a gift to you. Your years on this earth are the blessed opportunity given to prove your love for the Lord.
"LORD, make me to know my end And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am. Behold, You have made my days as handbreadths, and my lifetime as nothing in Your sight; surely every man at his best is a mere breath."
Psalm 39:4-5 (NASB)
There are several ways you can redeem the time and make the most of your few years on this earth. You must do everything with as much urgency as possible. You must work with the mind that the opportunity to do something will soon be taken away from you. When that day comes, you will wish you could come back and do any of the one hundred and one things on your "to-do" list for the Lord but it will be too late.
