JESUS' SECOND LAW OF FRUITFULNESS : FRUITFUL CHRISTIANS WILL BE PURGED TO MAKE THEM BEAR MORE FRUIT

Scripture: John 15:2
Topic: Jesus’ Second Law of Fruitfulness: Fruitful Christians will be purged to make them bear more fruit. 

"Every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit…."

Expect purging because you are bearing some good fruits. Purging is a semi-violent process in which unwanted qualities and conditions are removed. Purging is often abrupt, and sometimes violent. When you are purged, it means you are forced to expel, eject, clear out, dismiss, discharge, eradicate or exclude something from your life. 

Many events in our lives are actually purging processes. Suffering through crises and troubles has a way of clearing out unwanted attitudes, qualities and conditions from our lives. 
A marriage may purge you of unwanted pride. 
A job may purge you of your arrogance. 
An experience and a relationship may purge you of foolishness. 

I cannot tell what the purging experience in your life will be like. But you must expect purging as part of your Christian experience. Every fruit-bearing tree needs to be purged of something. 

A bad marriage experience may purge you of childhood delusions so that you can bear much fruit. 

Do not ask me what exactly is going to happen to you. I can tell you that as long as you are bearing fruit, expect purging that will make you bear even more fruit. 
Some of you need to be purged of your family’s influence. 
Some of you need to be purged of your country’s traits and characteristics. 
The death of someone in your life may serve as a purge to violently remove a negative influence from your life.
