DON'T WASTE YOUR GOODS!
Scripture: Luke 16:1-8
Topic: Don’t Waste Your Goods!
And he said also unto his disciples, there was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and THE SAME WAS ACCUSED UNTO HIM THAT HE HAD WASTED HIS GOODS. And he called him, and said unto him, how is it that I hear this of thee? Give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward. Then the steward said within himself, what shall I do? For my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed. I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses. So he called every one of his lord’s debtors unto him, and said unto the first, how much owest thou unto my lord? And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty. Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore. And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.
Luke 16:1-8
Your life is an opportunity to be fruitful. You will never live again! You will never celebrate the same birthday twice! Every time you pass a milestone, remember that you will never go back.
In this story, a report was given to the master that the disciple had wasted his goods. Today, the goods you have are the time and life God has given you. Your years are advancing! Your youthfulness is ending! Your hair is changing colour! Soon the years will be gone and you will say, “I wasted my life.”
Rise up now and be wise! The wisdom that is from above is to be fruitful!
"But THE WISDOM THAT IS FROM ABOVE is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, FULL OF MERCY AND GOOD FRUITS, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."
James 3:17
The wise man will be full of good fruits.
The master decided to terminate the appointment of his servant because his servant was wasting his goods. Jesus may decide to terminate your appointment with life because you are wasting the gifts and time that He gave you.
Rise up and be fruitful! There are too many warnings about fruitlessness. God has spoken to you! You must be fruitful! You must use what He has given you!
Being fruitful is the greatest wisdom that you can ever have on this earth! It is the purpose of God and it is the only reason why you are alive.
