HUMBLE LIKE A SERVANT (Part 10)

In this Quiet-time series, we shall study the various characteristics of humility as exhibited by a servant. In God’s Kingdom, one who serves is positioned at the highest position and is called the greatest (Mathew 20: 27).

 Scripture: Luke 8: 2-3

“And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities. Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils. And Joanna, the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance”

Luke 8: 2-3

10. When you are humble like a servant, you patiently wait for instructions. When you lose this humility, you cannot wait for anything or anyone.

What is a servant for? He is there to minister to the needs and wants of others. When you have lost the humility of a servant, you do not want to serve anymore but you want to be served. It is important to maintain the attitude of someone who exists to minister and to serve.

So whom shall we serve and whom shall we minister to? We must serve the people God has sent to us. We must do everything we can to give them a better life and to deliver them from the power of darkness. We must bend over backward and do menial jobs that will make the people we are sent to have something better than we did.

Never think of yourself as being better than the people you have been sent to. See the people you are ministering to as great and important. When you see them in the right way you will serve them with the very best of God’s blessings.
