CHARACTERISTICS OF "CALLED" PEOPLE- GOD CALLS PEOPLE WHO ARE IN DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES
Scripture: Judges 6:13
Topic: Characteristics of “Called” People - God calls people who are in DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES.
"And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? And where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt? But now the LORD hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites."
Judges 6:13
Many of us want some supernatural sign that God is with us. Difficult circumstances seem to be a silent message from an invisible God that, “I am against you.” If God is with us, why has all this happened to us? It is natural to ask this question. Why would God call someone He is fighting against? The circumstances may be giving a message that God is against you. But you must not allow circumstances to lead you away from your call. Circumstances are not the voice of God to you! Circumstances do have a part to play in our lives, but they are not our guiding post. We are led by the Holy Spirit; we are not led by circumstances. “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14).
Learn to hear the voice of the Spirit and trust it over and above the voice of circumstances in your life.
