THE SWEET INFLUENCES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ON YOUR LEVEL OF HONESTY -PART 2

THE SWEET INFLUENCES OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ON YOUR LEVEL OF HONESTY -PART 2
Scripture: John 14:17
Topic: The Sweet Influences of The Holy Spirit on Your Level of Honesty - Part 2

"Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."

John 14:17

God is truth. God abhors lies. Lying always seeks to cover up the truth. As a child of God you are commanded not to speak lies. In this series of our quiet time we look at how the sweet influences of the Holy Spirit in our lives affects our level of honesty.

"Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you."
John 14:17

 2. A person under the sweet influence of the Holy Spirit becomes honest.

Stephen was honest because he was full of the Holy Ghost.

"Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. . .And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:"
Acts 6:3,5

3. A person under the sweet influence of the Holy Spirit will detect falsehood, deception, deceit and dishonesty.

"Then Peter said unto her, how is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out."
Acts 5:9

These evils do not thrive in the presence of the Holy Spirit. The sweet influence of the Holy Spirit removes all these spots of deception from our midst. The Holy Spirit could not stand the lies and deception of Ananias and Sapphira. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth. Ananias and Sapphira paid a high price for bringing dishonesty and deception into the presence of the Holy Spirit.
