Scripture: Proverbs 4:5-9
Topic: The Sweet Influences of the Anointing on your level of intelligence.

In this series of quiet time we will look at the sweet influences of the anointing on your level on intelligence. Intelligence is the capacity for learning, reasoning and understanding. Its the aptitude for grasping truths, relationships, facts and meanings. The four pillars of intelligence are knowledge, wisdom, understanding and the fear of the Lord. The Holy Spirit influences all these four areas directly as follows.

2. The Holy Spirit's influence on your level of understanding
Understanding is the ability to grasp truths. It is the ability to comprehend and interpret what is being said. When someone lacks the ability to comprehend or interpret the meaning of what you said, we describe the person as lacking understanding. Understanding is also the inclination of a person to agree or to flow with an opinion. A man of understanding has the capacity for rational thinking and reasoning.  The Holy Spirit is the spirit of understanding. Through the influence of the Holy Spirit, your ability to interpret statements and reason with others will be greater. Through the Holy Spirit,  your capacity to think rationally will increase and improve.
A man of understanding is greatly promoted in this life and becomes far greater than a man without understanding. Wisdom is the principal thing.; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. 

Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honor, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. 

Proverbs 4:5-9

Your level of understanding is directly influenced by the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is the spirit of understanding.

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.
