Scripture: 1 Peter 1:18-19
Topic: The Supernatural Abilities of the Blood.

In this series of quiet time we will continue to look at the blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus has supernatural power. 

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not REDEEMED with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But WITH THE PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

1Peter 1:18-19

5. The blood of Jesus has supernatural ability to open the gates of heaven.

After this I beheld, and, lo, A GREAT MULTITUDE, which no man could number, of all the nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothes with white robes, and palms in their hands;
And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb....
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, WHAT ARE THESE WHICH ARE ARRAYED IN  WHITE ROBES? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest, And he said to me, THESE ARE THEY which came out of the great tribulation, and HAVE WASHED THEIR ROBES, and made them white IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB.

Revelation 7:9-10, 13-14

Indeed one of the wonders of heaven is about how people like us could get into a place like heaven?
How did we escape the prison we deserved to go to? How did we get out of the company of fellow murders and fellow fornicators?
How did we weave our way out of the sentence of death against us? How did we avoid the verdict of hell?
Who do we know made a way for us to come to heaven? Which important person chipped in a word on our behalf? What are people like us doing in heaven?
Where are our dirty and filthy rags? How come we are dressed in white? Do we not belong to the company of thieves, murderers and evil-doers?
How come we are singing hymns? How did people who once rejected God come to heaven?

The only explanation that can be given for you and I to go to a great place like heaven will be the blood of Jesus. This incredibly great privilege is given to us by the blood of Jesus! It is the blood of Jesus that we depend on for the opening of heaven's gate.

    Only by the blood of Jesus will l be able to enter a great place like heaven. It opens the great gate.
