HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR STRENGTH - PART 2 
Scripture: Ecclesiastes 9:11, Isaiah 30:1-3 
Topic: Receive counsel from God 
 
Strength is a very important virtue and a principal determinant in every area of your life and ministy. The strong prevail over the weak in every area of life both physical and spiritual. In this series of our Quiet Time we will study biblical methods on how to improve your strength and prevail in life.  

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the STRONG, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."
Ecclesiastes 9:11

2. Receive counsel from God. 
 
Receive God as your covering.  Strengthen yourself in God and not with the world.  When you seek to strengthen yourself through Pharaoh, you are seeking to strengthen yourself with the world. The world can never be a source of strength for the believer.  Your real protection is from God.  Your strength is from the counsel, the covering, and the source you have. Strengthening yourself in God protects you from shame and confusion.

"Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin: That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at my mouth; TO STRENGTHEN THEMSELVES IN THE STRENGTH OF PHARAOH, AND TO TRUST IN THE SHADOW OF EGYPT! THEREFORE SHALL THE STRENGTH OF PHARAOH BE YOUR SHAME, and the trust in the shadow of Egypt your confusion."
Isaiah 30:1-3
