THE SECOND DETERMINANT: STRENGTH - PART 4

THE SECOND DETERMINANT: STRENGTH - PART 4
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 9:11, Deuteronomy 31:7-8
Topic: Your strength determines your level of obedience to God

The determinants are the characteristics and the virtues that determine the outcome of everything we do. Determinants affect every area of life and govern both spiritual and non-spiritual things.

This series of our Quiet Time is a study on the Second determinant identified by Solomon; STRENGTH. It is important to know and understand the determinants identified by King Solomon and use these determinants to move your life forward. To ignore the power of the determinants is to ignore what usually governs and controls life on this earth.

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the STRONG, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."
Ecclesiastes 9:11

4. Your strength determines your level of obedience to God.

"And MOSES CALLED UNTO JOSHUA, AND SAID UNTO HIM IN THE SIGHT OF ALL ISRAEL, BE STRONG AND OF A GOOD COURAGE: for thou must go with this people unto the land which the Lord hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Deuteronomy 31:7-8

Strength determines your ability to obey God. Your strength determines your compliance with the visions of God. It is weakness that makes people shift away from the will of God. Both Moses and Joshua were exhorted to be strong so that they could fulfil the call of God and be obedient in the ministry. Weaklings cannot serve God. It takes strength to obey God.

Because you are strong you will not turn away from the call of God.

"A lion which is strongest among beasts, and turneth not away for any;"
Proverbs 30:30
