THE SECOND DETERMINANT: STRENGTH - PART 1

THE SECOND DETERMINANT: STRENGTH - PART 1
Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 9:11, Psalms 110:1-3
Topic: Strength determines the quality of your leadership.

The determinants are the characteristics and the virtues that determine the outcome of everything we do. Determinants affect every area of life and govern both spiritual and non-spiritual things.

This series of our Quiet Time is a study on the Second determinant identified by King Solomon; STRENGTH. It is important to know and understand the determinants identified by King Solomon and use these determinants to move your life forward. To ignore the power of the determinants is to ignore what usually governs and controls life on this earth.

"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the STRONG, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."
Ecclesiastes 9:11

1. Strength determines the quality of your leadership.

"The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. THE LORD SHALL SEND THE ROD OF THY STRENGTH OUT OF ZION: RULE THOU IN THE MIDST OF THINE ENEMIES. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth."
Psalms 110:1-3

Many people are not good leaders because they do not have the strength to take good decisions. When Joshua was made the leader of Israel, he was told to be strong.  Why is that? Strength determines the quality of your leadership.  Weak leaders give rise to lots of confusion.

"BE STRONG and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.  ONLY BE THOU STRONG and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? BE STRONG and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest."
Joshua 1:6-9
