HOW TO PRAY (PART 5)
Scripture: 1 John 1: 8
Topic: One hundred Percent answered prayer (Part 5)
In this series of our Quiet Time, we study ways in which a believer can receive one hundred percent answers to their prayers. Prayer is not part of the ministry but Prayer IS the ministry. The “Lord of the harvest” is waiting to answer our prayers as concerns the harvest fields that are already white and ripe for harvest.
4. The fourth step to one hundred per cent answered prayer is: Confess your sins
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and truth is not in us”.
1 John 1: 8
T o approach God without the consciousness of your sin is a mistake. A very important scripture to remember is found in Isaiah.
“Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.”
Isaiah 59: 1-2
God is cut off from our lives because of sin. One of the first things you must do when you pray is to confess your sins: both the ones you know and the ones you are not conscious of. Do not let you iniquities separate you from God. God can reach you when the blood of Jesus has cleansed you.
