JESUS DIED FOR “OTHERS”!

JESUS DIED FOR “OTHERS”! Scripture : Matthew 26:28 Topic: Jesus Died For "Others" "For this is MY BLOOD of the new testament, which is SHED FOR MANY for the remission of sins.."   Matthew 26:28 Jesus Christ died for the whole world. He gave His blood to save “others”.. After loving “others”, living for “others”, serving “others”, caring for “others”, ministering to “others” and healing “others”, Jesus went one further step and died for “others”. What do you do for “others”?. Most of us would not even lift a finger for “others”. The idea of dying for “others” is unthinkable to most of us. “Why should I die for someone?” . “I don’t even want to die for myself!” “Let them go to hell!” is the unspoken cry of many believers today. They say, “I do not know how people got into their unfortunate state.. It is not my fault that people are going to hell.. It is not my fault that people are suffering. I didn’t cause the problems and I don’t see how I am going to solve them.” M...

JOB WAS HEALED BECAUSE HE PRAYED FOR "OTHERS"

JOB WAS HEALED BECAUSE HE PRAYED FOR "OTHERS" Scripture: Job 42:10-13 Topic: Job Was Healed Because He Prayed for “OTHERS” "And THE LORD TURNED THE CAPTIVITY OF JOB, WHEN HE PRAYED FOR HIS FRIENDS: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three daughters." Job 42:10-13 The key to Job’s deliverance was his prayer for “others”. God actually told Job to pray for “others” rather than to pray for himself. When you think about ...

NEHEMIAH BECAME FAMOUS BY THINKING ABOUT "OTHERS "

NEHEMIAH BECAME FAMOUS BY THINKING ABOUT "OTHERS " Scripture: Nehemiah 1:1-4 Topic: Nehemiah Became Famous by Thinking about “OTHERS” "The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah. And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year, as I was in Shushan the palace, That Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah; and I ASKED THEM CONCERNING THE JEWS that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.  And they said unto me, the remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: THE WALL OF JERUSALEM ALSO IS Broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.  And it came to pass, WHEN I HEARD THESE WORDS, I SAT DOWN AND WEPT that, and mourned certain days, and fasted, and prayed before the God of heaven." Nehemiah 1:1-4 The story of Nehemiah and his place amongst the heroes of the Bible, started with his burden for the far away broken walls of Jerusalem. Your ...

THE DANGERS OF SELF-CENTREDNESS AND SELF-PROMOTION -PART 3

THE DANGERS OF SELF-CENTREDNESS AND SELF-PROMOTION  Scriptures: Genesis 11:4-9 Topic: The Dangers of Self-Centredness and Self Promotion - Part 3 In this series of our Quiet Time we we study the dangers of Self-Centredness and Self Promotion. It is time to stop focusing on "self" and start focusing on "others". 3. Self-promotion caused the fall of Babel. "And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; AND LET US MAKE US A NAME, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the f...

THE DANGERS OF SELF-CENTREDNESS AND SELF-PROMOTION -PART 2

THE DANGERS OF SELF-CENTREDNESS AND SELF-PROMOTION  Scriptures: Genesis 3:4-6 Topic: The Dangers of Self-Centredness and Self Promotion - Part 2 In this series of our Quiet Time we we study the dangers of Self-Centredness and Self Promotion. I is time to stop focusing on "self" and start focising on "others". 2. Self-promotion caused the fall of the first man.   "The serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then YOUR EYES SHALL BE OPENED, and YE SHALL BE AS GODS, knowing good and evil.  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat." Genesis 3:4-6 Adam the first man, also wanted to make himself a god. He wanted to become much greater than God had made him. Satan tempted him and pushed him to go higher to ...

THE DANGERS OF SELF-CENTEREDNESS AND SELF-PROMOTION -PART 1

THE DANGERS OF SELF-CENTEREDNESS AND SELF-PROMOTION  Scriptures: Isaiah 14:12-15, Ezekiel 31:10 Topic: The Dangers of Self-Centeredness and Self Promotion - Part 1 In this series of our Quiet Time we we study the dangers of Self-Centeredness and Self Promotion. It is time to stop focusing on "self" and start focusing on "others"  1. Self-promotion caused the fall of Lucifer. "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning!  How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!  For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I WILL EXALT my throne above the stars of God: I WILL SIT also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I WILL ASCEND above the heights of the clouds; I WILL BE LIKE the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit." Isaiah 14:12-15 "Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; because thou hast LIFTED UP THYSELF in height, and he hath shot up...

'OTHERS" OR "SELF"

“OTHERS” or “SELF” Scripture: Luke 9:23 Topic: "Others" or "Self" "And he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him DENY HIMSELF, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." Luke 9:23 Thinking about “others”, working for “others” and loving “others” is a mysterious key to your greatest blessing!   Life is either about you or about others! There is a decision you are going to have to make. Either you live for yourself or you live for others!  Living for yourself is a selfish life. It is a life about self-interests, self-love and self-enhancement.   You can decide today that you will care for others instead of just caring for yourself.  Living for others and doing things for others produces a richer much more fulfilling life. Jesus Christ told us to deny “ourselves” and follow Him. Saying “No” to yourself is saying “No” to a life of self-centeredness. Saying “No” to self is the beginning of a life that cares for “others”.  Credits: E...

OTHERS HAVE ISSUES!

OTHERS HAVE ISSUES! Scripture: Philippians 2:4 Topic: Others Have Issues! "Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on THE THINGS OF OTHERS."   Philippians 2:4 Do not only think about your issues. Think about the issues that affect other people. Many people have diverse problems. Many people have complicated issues that they cannot resolve. Most of the time, we are bogged down by our own issues. We do not lift up our eyes to see how other people are suffering. It is sad that most Christians do not remind themselves that others have issues. If you, who have two legs and two eyes cannot get a job, then can you imagine how difficult it is for a blind person to find a job?  If you, who have two legs and two eyes cannot get a job, then can you imagine how difficult it is for a cripple to find a job? It is time to start thinking about “others”! What is it like for beggars? What is it like for blind people? What is it like for the handicapped? When you think about “o...

OTHERS MUST HEAR THE MESSAGE!

OTHERS MUST HEAR THE MESSAGE! Scripture: Luke 4:43 Topic: Others Must Hear The Message "And he said unto them, I MUST PREACH the kingdom of God TO OTHER CITIES ALSO: for therefore am I sent." Luke 4:43 If God has blessed you with a good message, always remember that there are others who need to hear your wonderful message. It is a blessing that people like Kenneth Hagin felt the burden to take the faith message to the rest of the world. Many others outside America needed to hear the faith message. I am one of the “others” who received Kenneth Hagin’s wonderful messages. Kenneth Hagin did not know me personally but I am one of the “others” on the fringes who benefitted greatly from his message. This is why I am burdened to take the message of shepherding, church growth and loyalty to the rest of the world. If God has blessed you with a great message, it is important for you to share this message with as many people as possible.  Others need to hear! Others are important! Other...

OTHERS NEED A SHEPHERD!

OTHERS NEED A SHEPHERD Scripture: John 10:16 Topic: Others Need A Shepherd "And OTHER SHEEP I HAVE, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." John 10:16 “Other sheep have I!” This means there are many sheep in other places who are waiting for the shepherd. Jesus was constantly aware of other people who needed His shepherding love and care. Jesus was aware of many “others” who needed His shepherding and pastoral teachings. Are you aware of “others” who need a shepherd and shepherding care? It is important to remember that many Christians need a shepherd. It is one thing to be saved, and it is another thing to be pastored and shepherded properly. There is a great need for good shepherds and good pastors. Jesus said, “Other sheep have I”! There are other Christians who are waiting and hoping that a pastor would be raised up to care for them and feed them.  Most Christians are happily enjoyin...

OTHERS NEED CHRIST!

OTHERS NEED CHRIST! Scripture: John 4:25-30 Topic: Others Need Christ! "The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, what seekest thou? Or, Why talkest thou with her? THE WOMAN THEN LEFT HER WATERPOT, AND WENT HER WAY INTO THE CITY, AND SAITH TO THE MEN, come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him. John 4:25-30 Always remember that there are many people who need Christ. Millions and millions of people do not know Jesus because the church has failed to think about “others”. Most Christians do not think about the fact that “others” do not know Christ. They are happy to enjoy Christ in their churches and their wonderful fellowships. Please remember that many, many people do ...

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION -PART 6

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION - PART 6 Scripture: Romans 1:9-13 Topic: The Principles of Impartation - Part 6 In this series of our Quiet Time we will study the diverse ways in which the mystery of impartation is activated as we interact with the Lords anointed and how we can receive the impartation of an anointing, a gift and a spiritual blessing from the anointed. 6.The mystery of impartation benefits the anointed because he receives eternal fruit from whoever is blessed through his anointing.         " For I LONG TO SEE YOU, THAT I MAY IMPART UNTO YOU SOME SPIRITUAL GIFT, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) THAT I MIGHT HAVE SOME FRUIT AMONG YOU ALSO, even as among other Gentiles." Romans 1:9-13 Perhaps, the greatest blessing of the mystery of impartation is t...

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION -PART 5

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION - PART 5 Scripture: Romans 1:11-12 Topic: The Principles of Impartation - Part 5 In this series of our Quiet Time we will study the diverse ways in which the mystery of impartation is activated as we interact with the Lords anointed and how we can receive the impartation of an anointing, a gift and a spiritual blessing from the anointed. 5.The mystery of impartation results in your establishment and comfort. "For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be ESTABLISHED; that is, that I may be COMFORTED together with you …"  Romans 1:11-12 The impartation of the anointing leads to your establishment.  You become established in your ministry when you have received the gift.  Andrae Crouch became established in the music world because of the gift that he had.  Your establishment depends on the mystery of impartation.  Do not downplay this reality.  You will need a gift if you ...

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION -PART 4

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION - PART 4 Scripture: Romans 1:11-12 Topic: The Principles of Impartation - Part 4 In this series of our Quiet Time we will study the diverse ways in which the mystery of impartation is activated as we interact with the Lords anointed and how we can receive the impartation of an anointing, a gift and a spiritual blessing from the anointed. 4.The mystery of impartation occurs between people of mutual faith.  "For I long to see you, … that I may be comforted together with you by the MUTUAL FAITH both of you and me" Romans 1:11-12 Both the anointed and the one receiving the anointing need to have faith. The anointed must feel the love of God in the people he is ministering to.  He must be filled with faith and longing towards the one he is ministering to.  Paul was filled with a longing for the Romans. That longing and desire for the Romans was placed there by God.  You cannot minister to there by God.  You cannot minister to...

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION -PART 3

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION -PART 3 Scripture: 1 Timothy 5:22 Topic: The Principles of Impartation -Part 3 In this series of our Quiet Time we will study the diverse ways in which the mystery of impartation is activated as we interact with the Lords anointed and how we can receive the impartation of an anointing, a gift and a spiritual blessing from the anointed. 3.The mystery of impartation occurs when you touch the anointed.       Physical contact will always be a point of transmission of something.  That is why you should not want to shake hands or hug everybody.       "Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure." 1 Timothy 5:22 Unfortunately unbelievers seem to understand this more than Christians.  The touch of the anointed with his anointing is important.       Touching will always be important in Christianity. It will never lose its importance.  Touching a person ...

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION -PART 2

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION -PART 2 Scripture: Ezekiel 2:2 Topic:  The Principles of Impartation - Part 2 In this series of our Quiet Time we will study the diverse ways in which the mystery of impartation is activated as we interact with the Lords anointed and how we can receive the impartation of an anointing, a gift and a spiritual blessing from the anointed. " And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me." Ezekiel 2:2 2.The mystery of impartation occurs when you hear the anointed.    The second thing that happens when you see the anointed is that you hear him speaking. When the anointed is speaking, whether in casual conversation, in preaching, in teaching, or even shouting, you must be open to receive the impartation. The scripture is so clear on this. The spirit entered into Ezekiel ‘when he spake’ to him.   " And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me ...

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION -PART 1

THE PRINCIPLES OF IMPARTATION - PART 1 Scripture: Romans 1:9-13 Topic:  The Principles of Impartation - Part 1 In this series of our Quiet Time we will study the diverse ways in which the mystery of impartation is activated as we interact with the Lords anointed and how we can receive the impartation of an anointing, a gift and a spiritual blessing from the anointed. "For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. For I LONG TO SEE YOU, THAT I MAY IMPART UNTO YOU SOME SPIRITUAL GIFT, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as am...

THE MYSTERY OF IMPARTATION

THE MYSTERY OF IMPARTATION Scripture: Romans 1:9-13 Topic: The Mystery of Impartation " For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers; Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you. For I LONG TO SEE YOU, THAT I MAY IMPART UNTO YOU SOME SPIRITUAL GIFT, to the end ye may be established; That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles." Romans 1:9-13 The mystery of impartation occurs in three dimensions: hearing, seeing and touching.  This is why Paul longed to see the Romans. He knew that the mystery of impartation would be activated when he actually saw them and interacted with t...

THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE AND THE PRESENCE -PART 3

THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE AND THE PRESENCE Scriptures: 2 Chronicles 5:6, 13-14 Topic: The Altar of Sacrifice and the Presence -Part 3 In this series of our quiet time, we will learn how to experience the presence and power of God in our lives and ministries through sacrifice. 3. Solomon offered sacrifices to God and saw the presence of God . "Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, SACRIFICED SHEEP AND OXEN, WHICH COULD NOT BE TOLD NOR NUMBERED FOR MULTITUDE…. It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that THEN THE HOUSE WAS FILLED WITH A CLOUD, EVEN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD;  So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for THE GLORY OF THE LORD ...

THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE AND THE PRESENCE -PART 2

THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE AND THE PRESENCE Scriptures: 2 Samuel 6:12-13 Topic: The Altar of Sacrifice and the Presence -Part 2 In this series of our quiet time, we will learn how to experience the presence and power of God in our lives and ministries through sacrifice. 2. David offered many sacrifices to God and saw the presence of God.   He made great sacrifices for the Ark of God.   The Ark of God represented the presence of God.   In order for the Ark of God to move closer, he had to make some sacrifices.       "And it was told king David, saying, The Lord hath blessed the house of Obed-edom, and all that pertaineth unto him, because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-edom into the city of David with gladness.  And it was so, that WHEN THEY THAT BARE THE ARK OF THE LORD HAD GONE SIX PACES, HE SACRIFICED OXEN AND FATLINGS." 2 Samuel 6:12-13 This story shows us how King David made innumera...

THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE AND THE PRESENCE -PART 1

THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE AND THE PRESENCE Scriptures: Exodus 27:1, Exodus 40:6 Topic: The Altar of Sacrifice and the Presence -Part 1 In this series of our quiet time, we will learn how to experience the presence and power of God in our lives and ministries through sacrifice. "AND THOU SHALT MAKE AN ALTAR OF SHITTIM WOOD, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits." Exodus 27:1 " PLACE THE ALTAR OF BURNT OFFERING IN FRONT OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE TABERNACLE, the Tent of Meeting;" Exodus 40:6 (NIV) The altar of sacrifice was the first item to see in the compound of God’s residence.  Without making a sacrifice on the altar, there was no way to proceed further and deeper into the presence of God.   There is no way to serve God without sacrifice.  Everyone who came close to God paid the price and made a sacrifice.  If you want to experience the presence of God, you must pay the price and make the ...
