DIVISION IS THE PROOF OF CARNALITY PART 1
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:3
TOPIC: Division is the Proof of Carnality  
 
“For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?”
                                                                                                                                     1 Corinthians 3:3
 
Just as envy is the mother of strife, strife is the mother of division. Strife, if not arrested, leads to division in the body. Division scatters the body, therefore every well-meaning pastor or leader must fight division with every available means.
 
“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”
                                                                                                                                   1 Corinthians 1:10
 
Fight division. Fight till all speak the same thing, fight till there is no division, fight till all are perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment (opinion). This must be the preoccupation of every pastor, to foster unity in the Body. To fight for the unity of the Body.
 
“I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.”
                                                                                                                                         Philippians 4:2
 
“There will always be a Euodias and Syntyche around every great leader. But you must fight till Euodias and Syntyche are of the same mind in the Lord. Never leave disunity to blossom! Fight it! Kill it! with emergency. It is the absolute proof of carnality within the ranks and file. Letting it exist without dealing with it is like carrying a time bomb in your bare hands waiting for the moment it will explode. The casualties of your failure to fight division will go beyond just you the leader. It will affect many more than you can ever imagine.
 
I am not advocating something that cannot be done. In as much as scripture enjoins us to do so means it lies within the realm of possibilities! Praise the Lord!
 
“That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;”

    What a word!!! Allowing disunity to blossom is like carrying a time bomb in your hands waiting for it to explode. Every form of division, AWAY!!!!!

    Amen. Division must be dealt with within the ranks. A house divided against itself cannot stand.
