SUPERNATURAL ABILITIES OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS

“ knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”

 1 Peter 1: 18-19

The blood of Jesus Christ has supernatural power. Through the blood of Jesus, major spiritual changes take place in your life. None of these changes are natural. Every change that comes about in your life through the blood of Jesus is supernatural.

Most people are aware of the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. Many people speak of the supernatural power of angels. Some people know about the supernatural power of Jehovah. But few people know about the supernatural power of the blood of Jesus. Indeed, there is great supernatural power in the blood of our Saviour.

I remember a brother who desperately needed a blood transfusion. This fellow was dying because of a lack of blood. I decided to get the blood myself from the blood bank. When I entered the blood bank, I noticed packets of blood lying everywhere. There was blood on the table and also some blood in the fridge. I looked into the fridge myself and saw several shelves laden with blood, My friend’s blood was simply not available.

“Sorry we don’t have the type of blood that you need,” they said. I asked, “What do you mean by that?” What kind of blood is this that is lying on the table? There are blood packets everywhere. Is this animal blood? Is this the blood of goats and bulls?”

“We don’t have goat blood here!” they exclaimed “Goat blood does not go with human blood”.
Your friend needs a special type of blood that we do not have here.

Then I asked about the blood on the table. They said “this blood has expired. It cannot be used anymore.”

“What do you mean expired?” I asked

“It’s too old,” they said. “It has lost its power.”

“ Wow,” I thought to myself.  “Then the blood of Jesus is really powerful to have lasted for more than two thousand years without losing its power.”

That night I realized how true it was that there were different kinds of blood. There were many kinds of blood but none of them was appropriate. That night I realized that all the blood in the bank could not save my friend. It was simply not the right kind of blood. It was either expired blood or the wrong kind of blood. I began to make calls to other hospitals to see if I could find some appropriate blood for my friend.

You see, dear brother and sister, the blood of bulls and goats could never have the power to save you from your sins. Only the blood of the sinless Lamb of God had the power to wash away sins. This is why we sing about the blood of Jesus. This is why we sing, “There is power, power, wonder-working power in the blood of the Lamb.”

This is why we also sing that the blood will never lose its power. The blood of Jesus will last forever. It is eternal blood and it will always have the power to wash away sins.

    We have been redeemed with a blood that is supernatural, 2000 years later the blood is still powerful, it's still fresh millions are being saved today , billions are being washed and cleansed. This blood has not lost its power neither has it lost its authenticity.

    The blood of Jesus has no expiry, it's imperishable; it has the ability to cleanse and restore, it has great power and will last forever. May my desire always be to be washed by this unblemished blood of the lamb.
