THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL HATRED

Scripture: Rev 2: 1-6
Topic: The secret of spiritual hatred
 
“ Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate.” 
Revelation 2: 1-6

Hate is the strongest negative passion a person can have. Hatred is different from dislike or distaste. Amazingly, the Ephesian church was recommended for their spiritual hatred. 

What is hatred? It is an intense and passionate dislike for something that makes you want to eliminate it from your life.

"WHOSEOVER HATETH HIS BROTHER IS A MURDERER: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him."
1 John 3:15

He that hates his brother wipes out his brother from the surface of this earth forever. All through the bible you see the importance of wiping out things absolutely and completely. Having spiritual hatred is an important achievement. 

Many ministers do not have enough spiritual hatred for certain things as they should. You will one day prove whether you have anough spiritual hatred or not. You will one day have to prove whether you have the spiritual guts to wipe out certain things completely. 
Saul the king did not have enough spiritual hatred to wipe out Agag the king and all the Amelekites. This cost him his ministry, his position with God and his life 

“ And the Lord sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amelekites, and fight against them unil they are consumed. Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the Lord, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the Lord?"
1 Samuel 15: 18-19

What is there in your life that God teaches you to hate and to wipe out? There are many things you have to learn to learn to hate. Strife and disloyalty in all their forms must be hated by wise ministers. People who toy with dangerous things, often get bitten by them. You may have heard of the famous snake handler who died handling one of his snakes. Most people just kill snakes when they find them. 

Just hate all dangerous things and wipe them out!! There is no point in playing with your life.

    I pray for a spiritual eye, to see what is there in my life that God tells me to hate and wipe out; may my obedience be full as I obey His command. May I never toy with dangerous things.
