THE SECRET OF DIRECTED PATHS
Scripture: Proverbs 3:5-6
Topic: Secret of directed paths

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

                                                                                                                                             Proverbs 3:5-6

God leads us through directed paths. The promise of God in this Scripture is not that God will direct you! God is promising here that He will direct your paths. What is the difference between God directing you and God directing your paths? When God directs you, He speaks to you and tells you what to do. It is then up to you to do the right thing and obey His voice. However, when God directs your paths, you don’t have to do anything. It is your paths that have to obey instructions. It is a tragedy to lead yourself. The will of God holds a special place in the lives of His children. 

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
                                                                                                                                                    Romans 8:14 

Your duty is to trust the Lord that He has arranged the circumstances so that you will naturally flow into His will. This is what happens when you pray, “Thy will be done.” Jesus prayed “Thy will be done” for three hours in the Garden of Gethsemane. After getting an answer to that prayer, Jesus didn’t have to do anything any more. He just allowed things to happen naturally.
There are times god ignores you and speaks to your paths. Beloved we can be led if we take time to pray that God’s will be done in our lives. There are times we may not even know what exactly to do, but as you keep on praying that His will be done, He will direct your paths. God will block certain doors and make it impossible for you to go on certain roads. Beloved I have personally experienced this, much later I thank God for unanswered prayers. 


Do not cry any more because that man did not marry you. Do not be sad because that opportunity did not work out. Did you not pray that the will of God should be done? Did you not commit your ways to Him? God is answering your prayers right now! He is directing your life. You do not have to hear a voice. You do not need to see a vision. Just continue walking by faith and you will find yourself in His perfect will.

    Amen I love this When God directs you, He speaks to you and tells you what to do. It is then up to you to do the right thing and obey His voice. However, when God directs your paths, you don’t have to do anything. It is your paths that have to obey instructions.

    God answers prayers, the man that has faith will see God eventually, He will see as God guides Him and leads him on the path He wants for him just yield yourself to the Spirit of God and to His guidance and you'll never go wrong in this life you'll always find yourself in the perfect will of God for you.

    What a blessing! I get the point now. When I pray for God's will to be done He will direct my paths. All I need to do is trust Him and walk in faith and not wait to hear a special instruction before I move. May I never forget to daily pray this important prayer and end up directing myself

    Ameen Abba father let thy will be done.
    A prayer may not be answered or certain door may not be opened or a certain opportunity may not come to pass I should remember I pray and asked for His will be done.
    Sometimes yes you might forget and you become sad and murmur but later you realise and let it go and embrace God the more.
    Keep walking by faith trust that the Lord is directing you whether you see vision or not, hear His voice or not.
