LOYALTY WILL COST YOU RELATIONSHIPS AND FRIENDSHIPS

“…. whosever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” 
James 4:4

 

Everything has a price. Education has a price. Even your salvation has a price. The bible says we are bought with a price. Loyalty also has a price. 
 
To be loyal to someone means you cannot be loyal to everyone. Loyalty will cost you relationships and friendships. My loyalty to Christ has meant that I cannot maintain some of my old friendships. 
 
I have some friends with whom I can no longer flow. The reason for this is my loyalty to the Lord. I find it amazing that some Christians claim that they are simply friends with a rebellious person. 

 

They say, “oh, he’s is just a colleague from school.”
 
I’ll ask, “Are you sure?” 
 
They answer, “Oh yes, it’s just an old friendship. We never talk about church or anything like that.” 
 
I want you to mediate on the following verse. Please do not just brush it away. 
 
“…. whosever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” 
James 4:4
 
Notice that certain friendships are equivalent to enmity with God. No explanations are needed. just the existence of the friendship implies enmity with God. Anyone who is the friend of my enemy is also my enemy.

    That's right, loyalty has a price and it will definitely cost you relationships. Choose where to be long,you cannot be loyal to God and loyal to the world at the same time

    Amen. The word says that whosoever therefore will be a friend if the world is my enemy. We were bought and our salvation has a price. God's needs our loyalty to Him. My father it's my prayer that u teach me our to be loyal faithful to you through all my salvation time until you come back with your son Jesus Christ our saviour to take us where we belong. Because we don't belong to the world. Mend me whatever you like because I'm just a piece of clay and you are the Potter in Jesus Mighty Name Amen

    This is so shocking some friendship is like enmity with Christ.
