PRINCIPLE 2: THE SPIRIT OF AN UNSAVED MAN IS DEAD AND DESPERATELY WICKED (PART 2)

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5: 17 “……If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation..” 2 Corinthians 5: 17 God has given up the human race to its perverted way of life. It is these unsaved and degenerate people that Jesus came to the earth to save. This is why Jesus said a man had to be born-again. Another term for being born again is regeneration. When you are born again, your essential nature is changed. That is why the Bible calls you a new creature. God has to make a new creation out of the old corrupt man. Before a man is born again, he is estranged from God. His nature is essentially evil. He may look good on the outside, but essentially, he has a corrupt and wicked nature. The difference between Christianity and every other religion is simple. Christianity claims to change the essentially wicked nature of man. Jesus makes you a new creation. You become a brand creature with a brand new heart. In the Old Testament, the prophets predicted that the day would come when Go...

PRINCIPLE 2 : THE SPIRIT OF AN UNSAVED MAN IS DEAD AND DESPERATELY WICKED

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5: 17 “……If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation..” 2 Corinthians 5: 17 When a person is not born again he has what is called an unsaved spirit. There are many different ways the bible describes the unbeliever. The Bible calls a non-Christian an unbeliever, a sinner, and an unregenerate. It is important for you to be aware of the condition of the human spirit. “The heart (unsaved spirit) is DECEITFUL above all things, and DESPERATELY WICKED: who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9   But the Word of God makes it abundantly clear that anyone who is not a believer has an unregenerate spirit and is capable of many evil things. The fact that an unsaved man is in a terrible spiritual condition is made abundantly clear in Romans chapter one. The Bible says that God’s wrath is being released against the wickedness of men. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men” Romans 1:18 The human rac...

Principle 1: Man is a spirit, has a soul, and lives in the body (Part 2)

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5: 17 “……If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation..” 2 Corinthians 5: 17 It is time for Christians to be aware of the spirit that dwells in them. It is time for us to develop the human spirit. You can develop your human spirit by praying. “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue EDIFIETH [builds up, charges] HIMSELF” 1 Corinthians 14:4 The Bible says that when you speak in tongues you build up, charge and edify your spirit. It is good to do bodily exercise. We are not against that! But what about spiritual exercise? Be conscious of your spirit within. You are a spirit, you have a soul and live in a body. But what is a soul? The Bible makes it clear that the soul is different from the spirit. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than a two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of SOUL and SPIRIT…..” Hebrews 4: 12 There is a dividing asunder (demarcation) between the spirit and the soul of man. There ar...

GREAT PRINCIPLES ABOUT THE NEW CREATION

Scripture: 2 Corinthians 5: 17   “ ……If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation..”. 2 Corinthians 5: 17 Principle 1: Man is a spirit, has a soul, and lives in the body That fact that a human being is actually a spirit living inside a physical body is one of the lesser-known truths. When Paul wrote in Thessalonians he wrote that God should affect them in all three areas: spirit, soul, and body.   “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly, and I pray God your whole SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”. 1 Thessalonians 5: 23 A human being is not just a piece of meat……Man is a spirit. The Bible says that God is the Father of spirits. “ ….. shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the FATHER OF SPIRITS, and live?” Hebrews 12:9 If God is the Father of Spirits, then we His children are spirits. That means that our bodies are just containers of the spirit. The Bible describes the body as a ho...

Greater Love

Scripture: John 15: 12 -14 “This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15: 12 -14 The great love of God will change your life forever. This love is greater than anything found on earth. When a man says to a woman, “I love you”, it cannot be compared to the greater love of Christ. Your mother may love you, your father may love you, but none of them will die for you. Your boyfriend may love you and your girlfriend may love you but none will die for you. When you open up your heart to receive this great love, you will be born again. If you open up your heart to this great love from God, you will become a new creation and live a totally different life. If you open up your heart to this great love from God, you will escape your punishment in Hell. You deserve to go to hell and so do I but through the love of G...

The Mysterious Will of God (Cont’d)

Scripture: Ephesians 1: 9   In this series of our Quiet Time, we shall examine the art of hearing from God so that we may walk in His Perfect Will for us all the days of our lives. The Perfect Will of God creates positive outcomes in our lives as believers.   “Having made known unto us THE MYSTERY OF HIS WILL, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself”. Ephesians 1: 9 The perfect will of God is mysterious, to say the least. Following the will of God can make you look odd and weird. But you will not shy away from the perfect will of God if you understand that the will of God is essentially mysterious in its nature. 1.       The mystery that doing nothing on God’s instructions, can give you greater results than doing something   Mysteriously, the perfect will of God can mean that you should stay put and do nothing. It is difficult to do nothing when you are full of life and energy. The mysterious will of God...

But you will not shy away from the perfect will of God if you understand that the will of God is essentially mysterious in its nature. 1.       The mystery that forsaking earthly security on God’s instruction can give you security There are certain things we do to secure our future. Certainly, forsaking your country and your family and launching out into the desert is not one of the ways to secure a great future. Mysteriously, that...

Understanding how people enter the imperfect will of God (Cont)

Scripture: Ephesians 5: 17 (NASB) In this series of our Quiet Time, we shall examine the art of hearing from God so that we may walk in His Perfect Will for us all the days of our lives. The Perfect Will of God creates positive outcomes in our lives as believers.   “So then do not be foolish, but UNDERSTAND what the will of God is. Ephesians 5: 17 (NASB) 1.       People enter the imperfect will of God by resting too quickly Do not rejoice too quickly or assume the airs of a champion. This is a sure sign that you will be destroyed soon. David rested and did not go out to war even though it was a time for war. This single moment of relaxation caused him to enter into the imperfect will of God. The imperfect will of God became one of the darkest phases of his life and ministry. “And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destro...

Understanding how people enter the imperfect will of God

Scripture: Ephesians 5: 17 (NASB) Topic:   Understanding how people enter the imperfect will of God     In this series of our Quiet Time, we shall examine the art of hearing from God so that we may walk in His Perfect Will for us all the days of our lives. The Perfect Will of God creates positive outcomes in our lives as believers.   “So then do not be foolish, but UNDERSTAND what the will of God is. Ephesians 5: 17 (NASB)   1.       People enter the imperfect will of God by not accurately hearing the voice of God “Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the Word of the Lord yet revealed unto Him”. 1 Samuel 3:7 It is important to be able to hear when God speaks . If you cannot tell when God has spoken you are going to be in serious trouble. That is why the art of hearing God’s voice is crucial to your survival. It is only when you have developed the art of hearing that you can be in the perfect will of God. Ma...

The Perfect Will and the Imperfect Will of God

Scripture: Romans 12: 2 Topic: The Perfect Will and the Imperfect Will of God   In this series of our Quiet Time, we shall examine the art of hearing from God so that we may walk in His Perfect Will for us all the days of our lives. The Perfect Will of God creates positive outcomes in our lives as believers.   “….that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and PERFECT, WILL OF GOD. Romans 12:2 The will of God can be described as being perfect or impact. The imperfect will of God is called imperfect because it has the semblance of the true will of God but it is not really what God wants. The perfect will of God is the complete, mature, and full will of God. The imperfect will of God is what God allows men to do even though it is not His first choice for them. The Perfect Will of God 1.       The perfect will of God is the place where God really wants you to be. God is pleased with you when you are in His perfect will and He is e...

HUMILITY AND THE ANOINTING

HUMILITY AND THE ANOINTING Scripture: Luke 3:21-22 Topic: Humility And The Anointing  If you study the life of Jesus, you will discover certain things He did, which explains how He became anointed. Now I want us to look at a verse from the book of Luke. "Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased." Luke 3:21-22 Jesus, even though He was greater than John the Baptist, submitted Himself to him. He actually joined His ministry by allowing John to baptize Him. God will anoint someone who will humble and submit Himself to another. There are many rebellious elements in the church that are looking for anointing. They are looking for God's gifts. God does not anoint illegal things. That is why the Bible says that everyone that uses the name...

THE LAW OF SPIRITUAL TIMING

THE LAW OF SPIRITUAL TIMING  Scripture : Galatians 4:4 Topic: The Law of Spiritual Timing It is a known fact that we all need a blessing from the Lord. It is important to understand the law of the timing of miracles. Why did Jesus come into the Earth only two thousand years ago? The Bible says when the time was right, God sent His Son. "But when the fullness  of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,.." Galatians 4:4 Jesus was a gift of God to the Jews, but in the day of their divine blessing, they did not receive the gift. It is important for you to recognize the time of your visitation. Just as you have a time when you do certain things. God has a time in His timetable when He is going to bless you with certain gifts. God's Timing Is Best. In 1988, God placed me in the office of a teacher. At another time, He placed on me the anointing to pastor. He then gave me an anointing to minister prophetically and later an anointing to min...

ROOTS OF DISCONTENTMENT: COMPARISON AND JEALOUSY

ROOTS OF DISCONTENTMENT: COMPARISON AND JEALOUSY  Scripture: 2 Corinthians 10:12  Topic: Roots of Discontentment: Comparison and Jealousy "For WE DARE NOT make ourselves of the number, or COMPARE OURSELVES with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." 2 Corinthians 10:12  Comparison and jealousy are the roots of discontentment. You are comparing yourself with the wrong thing. Through comparison you will give yourself a wrong vision for your life. God has a special calling for you that does not compare with anyone else. Why are you comparing yourself with the wrong people? Why are you becoming jealous? You are opening the door for the spirit of discontentment and destruction. Whenever snakes step out of their hiding places to seek for food, they endanger their lives. When the snake sleeps in its hiding place without seeking for more food it is often safe.  Comparison is a root ...

DISCONTENTMENT CAN MAKE YOU LOSE EVERYTHING

DISCONTENTMENT CAN MAKE YOU LOSE EVERYTHING  Scripture: Psalm 47:2-4 NASB Topic: Discontentment Can Make You Lose Everything  “For the LORD Most High is to be feared, a great King over all the earth. He subdues peoples under us and nations under our feet. HE CHOOSES OUR INHERITANCE FOR US. ”  Psalm 47:2-4 NASB   Discontentment is dangerous because it makes you reach out for things God has withheld from you. Do you know that God withholds certain things from you? God may have withheld riches from you but given you a faithful husband. He may have withheld an international ministry from you but given you a great national ministry.  There is always something you do not have and you must be careful when you go out seeking for things you do not have. You don’t have to add to the list of discontented people below.  a. Adam was given ten thousand million trees but God withheld the tree of life. He reached out for the tree of life and he lost his place in the Garden...
