FORGETTING MAKES YOU REPEAT MISTAKES.

FORGETTING MAKES YOU REPEAT MISTAKES.  Scripture: Daniel 5:17-23. Topic : Forgetting makes you Repeat Mistakes.  "Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.  O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy  father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honor:  And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations,  and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he  would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and  whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put  down.  But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened  in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they  took his glory from him:  And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart  was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the  wild asses: they fed him w...

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL TEAMWORK.

THE SECRET OF SPIRITUAL TEAMWORK.  Scripture: Revelations 13:1-4,11-12. Topic: The Secret of Spiritual Teamwork.  "And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and THE DRAGON GAVE HIM HIS POWER, AND HIS SEAT, AND GREAT AUTHORITY. And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. AND THEY WORSHIPED  THE DRAGON WHICH GAVE POWER UNTO THE BEAST: and they worshiped  the beast, saying, who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?... And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, an...

THE PRINCIPLE OF GATHERING CRUMBS.

THE PRINCIPLE OF GATHERING CRUMBS. Scripture: John 6:12 Topic: The Principle of Gathering Crumbs.  Jesus taught a great lesson when He gathered  the crumbs after feeding the multitude on the  mountain.  During one of Jesus’ evangelistic tours, there  were more than five thousand people He needed  to feed. Philip, one of Jesus’ disciples pointed  out that even two hundred penny worth of bread  would not be sufficient to feed them.  A small boy’s lunch of five barley loaves of  bread and two small fish was blessed by Jesus,  and He fed them all. "When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost." John 6:12 Instead of just sharing the grace and leaving, He collected twelve baskets of crumbs. I am sure every one of His twelve disciples took a basket home! If you want to follow somebody, follow Jesus. He is the express image of God Himself. To see what God Himself would have don...

LOYALTY TODAY DOES NOT MEAN LOYALTY TOMORROW.

LOYALTY TODAY DOES NOT MEAN LOYALTY TOMORROW.  Scripture: Luke 4:13, 2 Samuel 15:13-14.  Topic:Loyalty today does not mean Loyalty Tomorrow.  The fact that you are faithful today does not mean that you will be  faithful tomorrow. A Christian needs to be loyal because the devil  does not go on vacation. Jesus overcame the devil in the wilderness. The Bible teaches us that the devil went away for a season and not  forever. The devil will leave you for a while but not forever. "And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed  from him for a season." Luke 4:13 At different times in the history of King David’s reign, he had sons who tried to usurp his authority and take the throne. The first time it happened, a young man named Absalom was involved in the conspiracy. "And there came a messenger to David, saying, The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom. And David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem, Arise, and let...

THE THREE TESTS OF LOYALTY PART - 3

THE THREE TESTS OF LOYALTY PART -3. Scripture : Malachi 3:3. Topic : The three tests of Loyalty Part -3.  For anything to be trusted it must be tested, for anyone to be trusted they must also be subjected to a series of tests. In this series of our quiet time we will examine the three tests of loyalty, we will learn that taking things at face value is dangerous and therefore there are tests we must employ before we can trust anything or anyone.  3. The Test of Fire Fire represents all kinds of pressures that will be brought to bear against you. These pressures could be in the form of a financial test. When you work in an organisation, a transfer or an instruction you do not like could be another test. Fire could be spiritual, social, marital or financial! I want to challenge every leader not to be afraid of the fires that God will allow you to go through. It is those who come out of the fire unscathed who are most valuable to God. Marital difficulties, financial difficulties, ...

THE THREE TESTS OF LOYALTY PART - 2

THE THREE TESTS OF LOYALTY PART - 2.  Scripture : Galatians 6:1.  Topic : The three Tests of Loyalty Part - 2. 2. The Test of Time Very few people can imagine the ability of time to test our resolve to stay loyal to our words. "I marvel that ye are SO SOON REMOVED from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:" Galatians 1:6 The Apostle Paul was shocked that a group of Christians could so quickly change their minds and commitment. Early and Late Disloyalty In some cases, people become disloyal very early in the course of events. This is what I call early disloyalty . People suffering from early...

THE THREE TESTS OF LOYALTY PART - 1

THE THREE TESTS OF LOYALTY PART -1  Scripture: Galatians 4:18. Topic: The Three tests of Loyalty Part - 1. "But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I SHALL COME FORTH AS GOLD." Job 23:10 There are many yellow metals in the world. Which one of them is real gold? I once asked a jeweler in Malaysia, “How would I know whether my wedding ring is made out of real gold or not?” I will never forget what he said: “There are many tests, but the main test is to pass it through fire.” He told me, “All other metals will change color when subjected to fire.” He continued, “Gold is the only metal which will come out shining brigh...

NABAL DIED BECAUSE HE DID NOT REMEMBER OTHERS.

NABAL DIED BECAUSE HE DID NOT REMEMBER OTHERS.  Scripture: 1 Samuel 25:4-12. Topic: Nabal Died because He did not remember Others.   "And David heard in the wilderness that Nabal did shear his sheep. And David sent out ten and greet him in my name: And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in prosperity, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be unto all that thou hast. And now I have heard that thou hast shearers: now thy shepherds which were with us, we hurt them not, neither was there ought missing unto them, all the while they were in Carmel. Ask thy young men, and they will shew thee. Wherefore let the young men find favor in thine eyes: for we come in a good day: give, I pray thee, whatsoever cometh to thine hand unto thy servants, and to thy son David. And when David’s young men came, they spake to Nabal according to all those words in the name of David, and ceased. And Nabal answered David’s servants, and said, WHO IS DAVID? AND WHO IS THE SO...

DANIEL BECAME A GREAT PROPHET BY THINKING ABOUT OTHERS.

DANIEL BECAME GREAT PROPHET BY THINKING ABOUT OTHERS.  Scripture:Daniel 9:2-11 Topic: Daniel became Great Prophet by Thinking about Others.  "In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes: And I prayed unto the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; WE HAVE SINNED, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: NEITHER HAVE WE HEARKENED unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, rig...

JOSEPH BECAME A "DARLING BOY" SO HE COULD HELP OTHERS.

JOSEPH BECAME A "DARLING BOY" SO HE COULD HELP OTHERS. Scripture: Genesis 50:15-21 Topic: Joseph became a "Darling Boy" so He could help Others.  "And when Joseph’s brethren saw that their father was dead, they said, Joseph will peradventure hate us, and will certainly requite us all the evil which we did unto him. And they sent a messenger unto Joseph, saying, Thy father did command before he died, saying, So shall ye say unto Joseph, Forgive, I pray thee now, the trespass of thy brethren, and their sin; for they did unto thee evil: and now, we pray thee, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of thy father. And Joseph wept when they spake unto him. And his brethren also went and fell down before his face; and they said, Behold, we be thy servants. And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God? But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but GOD MEANT IT UNTO GOOD, TO BRING TO PASS, AS IT IS THIS DAY, TO SAVE MUCH PEOPLE ALIVE. Now...

MOSES BECAME PRESIDENT BY LOOKING ON THE BURDENS OF OTHERS.

MOSES BECAME PRESIDENT BY LOOKING ON THE BURDENS OF OTHERS.  Scripture: Exodus 2:11-12. Topic: Moses became President by Looking on the Burdens of Others. "And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his  brethren, and LOOKED ON THEIR BURDENS: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an  Hebrew, one of his brethren.  And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the  Egyptian, and hid him in the sand." Exodus 2:11-12 How many people truly become the head of a nation? How many become the first leader of their country? Most nations have a statue in the center of the capital city to commemorate their first president. How do people become the first president of an entire nation? By looking on the burdens of the people in that nation! How do you become great and famous like Moses? Thinking about others is the key to greatness.  Thinking about “others” is also a key to having a fulfilled life. Your l...

GOD BLESSED ABRAHAM BECAUSE OF OTHERS.

GOD BLESSED ABRAHAM BECAUSE OF OTHERS. Scripture: Genesis 12:1-3, 22:15-18. Topic: God Blessed Abraham Because of Others.  "Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and THOU SHALT BE A BLESSING: and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed." Genesis 12:1-3 "And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And IN THY SEED SHALL ALL THE N...

YOUR JUDGEMENT WILL BE BASED ON YOUR TREATMENT OF OTHERS.

YOUR JUDGEMENT WILL BE BASED ON YOUR TREATMENT OF OTHERS. Scripture: Matthew 25:31-36. Topic: Your Judgement will be based on your Treatment of Others.  "But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit  on His glorious throne.  All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another,  as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right,  and the goats on the left.  Then the King will say to those on His right, “Come, you who are blessed of my father,  inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.  For I was HUNGRY, and you gave me something to eat; I was THIRSTY, and you gave me  something to drink; I was a STRANGER, and you invited me in; NAKED, and you clothed  me; I was SICK, and you visited me; I was in PRISON, and you came to me." Matthew 25:31-36 (NASB) Salvation comes to us by believing in Jesus...

FORGIVENESS MADE EASY PART-3

FORGIVENESS MADE EASY. Scripture:Genesis 45:5,7,8. Topic: Forgiveness Made Easy Part-3. In this series of our quiet time we shall study the steps we need to take for forgiveness to be very easy for us. Remember one mark of a true christian is seen in his or her ability to forgive just as our Lord Jesus forgives us. To attract God's forgiveness and mercy you will need to learn to forgive.  3. Analyse the outcome. Out of jealousy and hatred, Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery. After thirty years, God raised him from prison to become the Prime Minister of Egypt. Unaware of his new identity, his brothers came to him for help during a severe famine. Later, Joseph revealed himself to them. With remorse, they fell down and begged him to be merciful to them. Joseph forgave them when he analysed the outcome of their misconduct. "...be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life...to preserve you a posterity in the...

FORGIVENESS MADE EASY PART-2

FORGIVENESS MADE EASY. Scripture : Galatians 6:1. Topic: Forgiveness Made Easy Part- 2 In this series of our quite time we shall study the steps we need to take for forgiveness to be very easy for us. Remember one mark of a true believer is seen in his or her ability to forgive, just as our Lord Jesus forgives us. To attract God's forgiveness you will need to learn to forgive those around you.   2. Analyse your past sins. When you analyse your past sins, you will find out that you will not be so hasty to judge anybody. This is because you might have done the same thing (or something worse) before. Probably, you might have acted the same way if you had been confronted with the same issue. Galatians 6:1 cautions : "...If a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted." When you consider yourself, you will be more willing to forgive. When you think about your past sins, you...
