IDENTIFY DANGEROUS ENEMIES AND DECLARE WAR ON THEM -PART 2

IDENTIFY DANGEROUS ENEMIES AND DECLARE WAR ON THEM -PART 2 Scripture: Matthew 10:36 Topic: Identify Dangerous Enemies and Declare War on Them - Part 2 "And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household." Matthew 10:36 To win a war, you must declare war.  To win a war you must become war.   First of all, you must identify men who are dangerous enemies.   Secondly, you must identify behaviour that signals aggression and danger.  Thirdly, you must declare war on identified enemies.   To win a war you must declare war and become war!  As long as you have not declared war, forces will not mobilize themselves.  The enemy is always happy that you have not declared war.  The enemy always hopes that you will not notice that he is an enemy.   Enemies of Church Growth There are also men who fight against the churches we are building.  Building a church is a great effort to win souls, to gather them to the house of ...

IDENTIFY DANGEROUS ENEMIES AND DECLARE WAR ON THEM - PART 1

IDENTIFY DANGEROUS ENEMIES AND DECLARE WAR ON THEM -PART 1 Scripture: Matthew 10:36 Topic: Identify Dangerous Enemies and Declare War on Them - Part 1 "And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household." Matthew 10:36 To win a war, you must declare war. Many Christians believe that a man cannot be an enemy.  This is because of the Scripture which says, “…we wrestle not against flesh and blood…” (Ephesians 6:12).   In ot...

THE SECRET OF SACRIFICE

THE SECRET OF SACRIFICE Scripture: Genesis 22:1-3 Topic: The Secret of Sacrifice  Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” Then He said, “Take now your son, your only son, whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you.” So Abraham got up early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him and his son Isaac; and he split wood for the burnt offering, and set out and went to the place of which God had told him. Genesis 22:1-3 God had blessed Abraham with a child.  After this, Abraham faced the ultimate test. God asked him to sacrifice his only son. That was a very big request from the Lord. God wanted to see whether Abraham was ready to give up everything  for Him.  I believe that God wants to have you  as His own. I do not think that i...

THE SECRET OF HEAVEN'S OPINION

THE SECRET OF HEAVEN'S OPINION Scripture: Revelation 3:1-3 Topic: The Secret of Heaven’s Opinion "And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; these things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that THOU HAST A NAME THAT THOU LIVEST, AND ART DEAD.  Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: FOR I HAVE NOT FOUND THY WORKS PERFECT BEFORE GOD.  Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee." Revelation 3:1-3 The book of Revelation unveils things that are hidden from our view. Things that are not public knowledge are made known to us if we care to accept them.  Revelation means to unveil and to show something that is hidden.   The scripture above reveals God’s assessment of the church in Sardis. God says, “You are a dead church.”...

THE SPIRIT OF SELFISHNESS

THE SPIRIT OF SELFISHNESS Scripture: Ezekiel 34:18 Topic: The Spirit of Selfishness “Seemeth it a small thing...to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures?” Ezekiel 34:18 A selfish person does not care what anybody else thinks or feels. He is only concerned about himself. Can you imagine the disgrace that came to the prodigal boy’s father? Friends might have asked him, “We hear your child is feeding with pigs across the ocean. Is it true?” In our modern world, he would have received many faxes and phone calls but the young boy did not care what anybody thought.  This selfish attitude is everywhere. In church, I have seen people who turned against me to go on their own way. I even blessed some of them as they left! However, they did not leave quietly. They spread false stories about the church and caused a lot of problems. Such people do not care about whatever happens to the church that nurtured them. T...

THE HONOUR AND THE ANOINTING

The Honour and the Anointing Scripture: Mark 6: 1-5 Topic: The Honour and The Anointing We shall in this quiet time begin a series in which we see clearly the relationship between honour and the anointing. I trust the Lord that point by point you will come to the place of honour, and enjoy the fruit of honour. 1.Where the anointing is not honoured it does not work  “And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.  And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? And what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them, A PROPHET IS NOT WITHOUT HONOUR, but in his own country, ...

THE ROAD TO LOST OPPORTUNITIES (BAD COMPANY)

THE ROAD TO LOST OPPORTUNITIES ( BAD COMPANY ) Scripture: Luke 15:11-24 Topic: The Road to Lost Opportunities (BAD COMPANY) There are two cardinal mistakes, which make us lose every opportunity that comes our way... Anybody who makes these mistakes will definitely be denied the blessings of all God-given opportunities. I want to share these mistakes with you now: Bad Company “………...thy son...which hath devoured thy living WITH HARLOTS...”                                                                                                                                                       Luke 15:30 The prodigal boy did n...

THE ROAD TO LOST OPPORTUNITIES (SEPARATION)

THE ROAD TO LOST OPPORTUNITIES ( SEPARATION ) Scripture: Luke 15:11-24 Topic: The Road to Lost Opportunities (SEPARATION) There are two cardinal mistakes, which make us lose every opportunity that comes our way... Anybody who makes these mistakes will definitely be denied the blessings of all God-given opportunities. I want to share these mistakes with you now: The Mistake of Separation “………..…and took his journey into a FAR country and there wasted his substance with riotous living.”                                                                                                                                                   ...

THE TEST OF FIRE

THE TEST OF FIRE Scripture: 2 Corinthians 11:23-29 Topic: The Test of Fire “ARE THEY MINISTERS OF CHRIST? (I speak as a fool) I AM MORE; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in PRISONS more frequent, in DEATHS oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty STRIPES save one. Thrice was I BEATEN with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered SHIPWRECK, a night and a day I have been in the deep; In JOURNEYINGS often, in perils of waters, in perils of ROBBERS, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; In WEARINESS and PAINFULNESS, in WATCHINGS often, in hunger and thirst, in FASTINGS often, in cold and NAKEDNESS.  Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is offended and I burn not?"                     ...

DO NOT MISS SUBTLE AND CASUAL ANOINTING

DO NOT MISS SUBTLE AND CASUAL ANOINTING Scripture: Matthew 11:7-11 Topic: Do Not Miss Subtle and Casual Anointing "And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind? But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings ‘houses. But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he"                                                         ...

THE ART OF SOAKING IN TAPES PART 2

THE ART OF SOAKING IN TAPES PART 2 Scripture: Ezekiel 2:2 Topic: The Art of Soaking in Tapes Part 2 “As He spoke to me the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet; and I heard Him speaking to me.”                                                                                                                                           Ezekiel 2:2 - NASB You will not succeed in the ministry by being clever. Intelligence and education are not substitutes for the anointing! Desire the anointing! Go for it! It is the main thing! And the main thing is still the main thing! Jesus’ First Sermon The first sermon that Jesus preached was about the anointing. T...

THE ART OF SOAKING IN TAPES PART 1

THE ART OF SOAKING IN TAPES PART 1 Scripture: Ezekiel 2:2 Topic: The Art of Soaking in Tapes Part 1 “As He spoke to me the Spirit entered me and set me on my feet; and I heard Him speaking to me.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      ...

DISRESPECTFUL AND REBELLIOUS CHURCH MEMBERS

DISRESPECTFUL AND REBELLIOUS CHURCH MEMBERS Scripture: Numbers 16:1-3 Topic: Disrespectful and Rebellious Church Members Now Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took action, and they rose up before Moses, together with some of the sons of Israel, two hundred and fifty leaders of the congregation, chosen in the assembly, men of renown. They assembled together against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “You have gone far enough, for all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the L ord is in their midst; so why do you exalt yourselves above the assembly of the Lord ?”                                                                                        ...

IDOLATRY

IDOLATRY Scripture: Colossians 3:5 TOPIC: Idolatry   “Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.”                                                                                                                                      Colossians 3:5 - NASB It is worth of stating that idolatry has been revived and sneaked into the church. The revival of modern idolatry is the chief reason for the lack of fresh fire on the altars of the heart of God’s children. The fire has been put out, and new abominable fires lighted unto “other gods”. The church must de...

THE ABSENCE OF HUMILITY IS THE REASON WHY MANY OF US ARE NOT BLESSED

THE ABSENCE OF HUMILITY IS THE REASON WHY MANY OF US ARE NOT BLESSED Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 TOPIC: The Absence of Humility Is the Reason Why Many of Us are Not Blessed “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”                                                                                                                                              2 Chronicles 7:14 We're expecting somebody to come from somewhere to be a blessing to us.
