THE DUAL LIFE

THE DUAL LIFE  Scripture: Ephesians 5:3 Topic: The Dual Life But  fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be  once named among you, as becometh saints; Ephesians 5:3 God’s expectation is that as  children of God, no form of sinful living should be found in us. So  fornication, uncleanness and the like should never be associated  with any Christian.  People who are called Christians  and yet live a different lifestyle underneath are guilty of  duality.  Duality is the state of living a  double standard life. It is the state of having two personalities  or two natures embodied in one person. It is when you have one  lifestyle displayed in public, and the other one shown in private.  Such a dual person has one behaviour pattern he exhibits when he  comes into public. This is usually to impress the people around. He  has another type of behaviour when nobody can see him. For those  who...

BY THEIR FRUITS

BY THEIR FRUITS Scripture: Matthew 7:20 Topic: By Their Fruits “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”                                                                                                                                                 Matthew 7:20 We can distinguish genuine Christians from counterfeit Christians by looking at their fruit! I can tell, when I see you bringing forth other believers like yourself to the Lord. (Other students, businessmen, housewives, or whatever). If, by your spiritual activity, others just like you are brought to the Lord and discipled, then this fruit you are bearing shows you...

THE FOUR SPIRITUAL APPOINTMENTS

THE FOUR SPIRITUAL APPOINTMENTS Scripture: Luke 14:26 Topic: The Four Appointments “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.”                                                                                                                                                     Luke 14:26 To follow Jesus is not easy. Living for Jesus isn’t easy. Do not believe anyone who presents a false version of Christianity to you. Christianity is all about following Jesus Christ and becoming Christ-like! From the thing...

PUT YE IN THE SICKLE

PUT YE IN THE SICKLE Scripture: Joel 3:13-14 Topic: Put Ye in The Sickle “Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.”                                                                                                                                                      Joel 3:13-14 A sickle is a single-handed agricultural tool designed for harvesting, or reaping. The prophet Joel knowing the use of this tool implores th...

THE VOICE OF THE ANOINTED

THE VOICE OF THE ANOINTED Scripture: Matthew 17:1-6 Topic: The Voice of The Anointed “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.”                                                   ...

THERE IS NONE THAT SEEKETH AFTER GOD

THERE IS NONE THAT SEEKETH AFTER GOD Scripture: Romans 3:10-11 Topic: There is None That Seeketh After God “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.”                                                                                                                                                 Romans 3:10-11 God brings against man about fourteen indictments in this chapter of Romans, and in the first of the fourteen indictments, God described man by saying that not one is righteous in verse 10 of Romans 3. This verse summarizes all that follows. Onl...

DO NOT STOP DOING GOOD

DO NOT STOP DOING GOOD Scripture: Galatians 6: 9 Topic: Do Not Stop Doing Good “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”                                                                                                                                                      Galatians 6:9 In a world full of ingratitude, it is possible to grow weary of doing good. In a world full of those who easily forget, it is very easy to soon detest doing good. Yet here we are being admonished by the apostle Paul to not grow weary of doing good. When after you have done good to people, the...

HUMBLE YOURSELF

Scripture: James 4: 10 Topic: Humble yourself “   Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.” James 4: 10 People define pride in many different ways. People may say you are proud because you are a quiet person. People may say that you are proud because you are tall and confident. People may say you are proud because you drive a nice, shiny air-conditioned car. So what really is pride? Does it matter whether you are humble or proud? Indeed it does matter!   We must humble ourselves before the Lord. We must live in a way God considers humble. The instruction is clear! Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and not in the sight of man. There is no point in practicing a brand of humility that God does not accept. Humility is a virtue defined and described by God Himself. Human beings define humility in many different ways but God’s definition of humility is what matters to us. Humility is so important that it is worth searching the length and bread...

SATAN WANTS TO ISOLATE YOU!!

Scripture: Luke 8: 27 Topic: Satan wants to isolate you “   …..neither abode in any house , but in the tombs. ” Luke 8: 27 Isolation is one of the fundamental demonic strategies in existence. The mad man of Gadara was isolated in the mountains and in the tombs. He walked and lived in solitude, having no one to talk to. The demons that possessed him ensured that he was isolated in the tombs. It is important for Satan to isolate you if he is going to fully implement his plan against your life. The devil is described as a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. “ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, AS A ROARING LION, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” I Peter 5:8 All you have to do is to watch a wildlife documentary and you will understand how the devil operates. All the lion wishes for is to get an isolated antelope or a lonely deer. Even as a pastor, I have learned not to live in isolation. The bible teaches that WE have the mi...

SUPERNATURAL ABILITIES OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS

Scripture: 1 Peter 1: 18-19 Topic: Supernatural abilities of the blood of Jesus “   knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers,  but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot . ”  1 Peter 1: 18-19 The blood of Jesus Christ has supernatural power. Through the blood of Jesus, major spiritual changes take place in your life. None of these changes are natural. Every change that comes about in your life through the blood of Jesus is supernatural. Most people are aware of the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. Many people speak of the supernatural power of angels. Some people know about the supernatural power of Jehovah. But few people know about the supernatural power of the blood of Jesus. Indeed, there is great supernatural power in the blood of our Saviour. I remember a brother who desperately n...

SYMPTOMS OF BACKSLIDING

Scripture: Luke 21: 25-31 Topic: Symptoms of Backsliding   “ And there shall be signs…..when ye see these things…..KNOW Luke 21: 25-31   In the field of medicine, a symptom or sign is the outward clue of something dangerous. Often when you are searching for something that is hidden, you look out for the clues to lead you. Symptoms and signs help doctors to make the right diagnosis.    A symptom is meaningless to the unlearned, but important to the learned . If a symptom is detected early it can save a life. When a doctor detects certain signs, he knows that the patient’s life is in danger. But a layman may have no idea of what is going on.    When a hand of a patient shows certain signs, it is an indication of a serious disease in the liver. What has the hand got to do with the liver? They are so far apart anyway. But it may surprise you to know that a shaking and jerking hand could indicate liver failure. To the unlearned, that shaking hand is just an unus...
